Development on DCA high school campus is has begun.  However, we need your support and prayers to bring this to completion by the deadline date of February 2009.

Below is a letter from the C in A Directors written Oct. 8,2008:

Dear Supporters of Compassion in Action,

Upon completion of an extremely successful construction mission trip in August, to start Phase I of our new Dario Christian Academy High School campus, we are now well positioned to move forward toward completion. To accomplish this great work we now bring request for each of you to consider a sacrificial financial contribution.

Dear friends, as you consider giving, know that the young people and their families in Dario, Nicaragua who are blessed by this ministry will, in their lifetimes, never see the prosperity we enjoy here in America – even in the worst of times. During these times of testing, Compassion in Action will remain steadfast to trust upon the Lord our God and keep to the work of advancing His kingdom. By partnering with us in this ministry you are investing in the spiritual and physical well-being of those less fortunate. And it is in this context we ask you to join us in building this High School, that God’s truth may go forth.

Our fundraising goal is $70,000.00 in order to complete the Phase I construction. Compassion in Action has been pledged $15,000.00 of matching funds, so the first $15,000.00 raised will be doubled to $30,000.00. Praise God!

Our goal is to raise this capital by the end of November 2008 so that Phase I Construction can be completed by the start of the 2009 school year in February. Grades 7 and 8 are already being conducted utilizing space at the DCA elementary school campus, however, adding 9th grade next year will not be possible without the new Phase I buildings being completed.

The foundations for the two bathroom buildings (girls and boys) and a four classroom building are complete. Also, the concrete floor of the classroom building and the plumbing groundwork for the bathrooms was finished compliments of the most recent construction team members.

Thank you for your prior and ongoing faithful support of this ministry and for any consideration you can give to this present challenge. If you are able to pledge funds that will be donated in December or January, we would appreciate a note of commitment to that end in order that we can move ahead with clarity of God’s provision and blessing through His people, even as we face difficult economic times here in America.

In His Service, Rob Crandall, Rod & Karen Krueger and Pastor Abner Solano
