Projects Overview

Compassion in Action's current work in Nicaragua:

• Christian schools: Compassion in Action currently operates Managua Christian Academy and Dario Christian Academy. A high school adjacent to the Dario campus is under construction. These students are able to attend school through C in A sponsorships.
  
• Feeding center: C in A operates a children's feeding center in Managua. "Comedor Infantil" serves children on the streets of Managua who may rely on this meal as their only food for the day.
  
• Church support: C in A actively supports the Christian church in Dario, recently finding a pastor and refurbishing the church building.
  
• Family support: As part of its mission to lift families out of poverty, C in A has built houses for needy families and extended "microloans" to parents starting their own small business.
